Carmen Ng has over 16 years of professional experiences in the provision of business assurance and consulting services to a wide range of international, local and mainland China clients, mostly at PricewaterhouseCoopers Hong Kong, one of the big four international accounting firms. Her assurance and advisory experience focus on treasury operation, financial instruments, internal controls, regulatory compliance and risk management for banking and capital market clients.

 

Carmen has led a number of special projects including IFRS/ HKFRS GAAP conversion projects, initial public offering, debt issuance programs, due diligence review and business consulting.

 

She is now the managing partner of a CPA and consulting firm.During her years with the accounting firm, Carmen also instructed in-house technical courses and conducted training workshops for clients.

 

Carmen is a frequent speaker for the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (HKSI).She is also a marker of the Qualification Program of Hong Kong Institute Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and a part-time instructor at one of the universities in Hong Kong.

 

 

 

 

John, KH Lo

 

John was a senior manager with Touche Ross & Co (merged with Deloitte in 1990), Wellington, New Zealand before moving back to Hong Kong.  He started the practice in 1992 after having worked with the “Big Four” accounting practices in both Hong Kong and overseas for more than 30 years.  The clientele of the firm includes trading and manufacturing concerns, solicitors’ firms, property holding companies, investment companies, freight forwarders, IT consulting companies, fund management companies, construction companies etc.

 

In addition to statutory audit and tax compliance services, the firm has also provided due diligence services to several listed companies in Hong Kong relating to mergers and acquisitions in Hong Kong, Malaysia and the People’s Republic of China (“PRC”). 

One of the major involvements was acquisition and subsequent formation of an equity joint venture in the PRC for natural gas supplies in the PRC. 

 

Other due diligence engagements in the past few years included several property development projects in the PRC; a manufacturing group in the PRC, a watch accessory manufacturing group in Hong Kong, PRC and Europe; a construction group in Hong Kong and South East Asia etc.

 

 

 

 

Vanessa, HY Pang

 

Graduated from University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree major in Accounting.

Graduated from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a Master of Science in Finance major in Financial Analysis.

 

Vanessa has obtained a US AICPA designation.  During her past 11 years of finance and accounting working experience, she worked with Ernst & Young for 3 years as an auditor; and her major clients were insurance companies and trusted funds. She provided professional accounting advices and regulatory information for clients.

 

Vanessa also worked with the largest bunkering and oil trading company in Hong Kong as an Accounting Manager for 8 years. Her major responsibilities were handling risk management, liaising with banks for project financing and daily cash management, ensuring the effectiveness of the internal control system, and reporting financial performance to the management.  She incorporated and managed various companies worldwide for this company.

 

 

 

 

 

Ian, KF Ng

 

Ian is a Registered Professional Surveyor and a qualified real estate appraiser in the mainland China with over 10 years’ real estate valuation experience in HKSAR, Macau SAR and mainland China.  Mr. Ng is a Professional Member of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, a chartered surveyor of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as well as a member of China Institute of Real Estate Appraisers and Agents (Valuation Division).

 

Mr. Ng is on the List of Property Valuers for Undertaking Valuations for Incorporation or Reference in Listing Particulars and Circulars and Valuations in connection with Takeovers and Mergers under the listing rules of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Mr. Ng has served a variety of listed companies with valuation reports disclosed in public documents found in the website of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
